"Poverty Wages: Not Lovin' It."

Twisting the fast-food giant McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” slogan into a demand for fair pay, fast-food workers chanted “Fight for $15” as they marched in New York’s Times Square, carrying a grotesque version of the corporation’s clown mascot (a parody of the familiar Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade balloon). The April 2015 demonstration joined hundreds of “living wage” protests across the country—and the globe—that year.
